What

A 326 mile (525 km) run across the state of Ohio over the span of ten days.

When

May 2nd, 2025 - May 11th, 2025

Where

Starting in Cleveland and finishing in Cincinnati, the Ohio-to-Erie Trail is a series of interconnected bike trails that span the state of Ohio. The trail is a mix of paved and crushed limestone paths, with some sections on roads.

Why

Why not? This is a personal challenge that I have been wanting to do for a long time. And more importantly, the event will be a fundraiser for the House of the People in Dayton, Ohio.

How

The event will be a completely solo and unsupported effort. I will be carrying most of my gear and supplies with me in a backpack. I will be running an average of 32 miles (51 km) per day, with the longest day being 37 miles (60 km).

Who

My name is Joe Riess, and I am an athlete from Beavercreek, Ohio. I have been running for over 15 years, and have completed some of the most difficult races in America including Ironman competitions, long-distance swims, marathons, and ultramarathons. I am excited to take on this challenge and raise money for a great cause.
